In ihrer ersten Berliner Einzelausstellung »What Is Carried« – Oana Știrbu verwandelt Kaffeesatz, Eierschale und Algen in Träger der Erinnerung. Damit stellt sich die Frage: Was tragen wir, was lassen wir los? Entstanden sind Skulpturen aus der Auseinandersetzung mit Zeit, Verlust und Verwandlung.

In her first solo exhibition in Berlin, »What Is Carried«, Oana Știrbu transforms coffee grounds, eggshells and algae into carriers of memory. This raises the question: what do we carry, what do we let go of? The result is a series of sculptures born from an engagement with time, loss and transformation.
